Alexandrea has appeared at Woman as Art before, but after seeing some of the other work I’d done with paint, wanted to do something similar, but with a twist. She brought along this theatrical, gold paint and – after about 30 minutes of work in the dressing room, appeared like a golden sculpture.
Tons of thanks to the volunteer model who said, “I want to do that paint thing!” at 8 months. A beautiful woman with a beautiful family.
And one without the paint, too. We made that photograph before the paint.
And the new daughter is now home doing well with the big brother/sisters.
I’m certainly not the first person to ever do this, but this is my take on what may happen more with Woman as Art in the future as I perfect my way of doing the technique.
The model is Laci and many thanks to her for being brave and going ‘all in’ on the paint job. It’s actually kind of a celebration for her. A recent life-changing decision has now left her free to celebrate more with her dance and with her art.
